Maximizing Team Performance

Industry: Automotive Parts; Challenge: Maximizing Teams' Performance

Challenges & Objectives
As an essential element of a major Corporate reorganizations, our Client formed Product Teams to improve market penetration. Consisting of 12-15 people from all functional areas, the teams were charged with developing and guiding the execution of both strategic and tactical plans.

The challenge was to rapidly mold the group of individuals into a smooth and effective team.

The Work we did
Kiron's initial participation consisted of advising the client in the decision to form product teams, developing the structures in which they would operate, and actively participating in defining team membership, including personnel selections.

After teams were formed, Kiron provided training for team leaders, and aided them in implementing customized processes and procedures for their teams. For the first three months, Kiron consultants attended Product Team meetings and critiqued the conduct and outcomes of each meeting.

In addition to guiding the teams in the improvement of their day-to-day skills, Kiron provided templates for, and hands-on assistance in preparing, their first-ever 5-year strategic and 2-year operating plans.

Results
By capitalizing on Kiron's expertise, Client teams were able to quickly identify and capitalize on new markets for their products, and to lay the foundation for future gains.
